Tex Avery at Lantz Studios

In 1954, Tex went over to work for Walter Lantz with whom he began his career in animation. He directed four cartoons there from 1954 to 1955 before leaving to create animated television commercials. I'm not a big fan of the cartoons produced at Lantz' studios during the mid fifties but Tex' were much better than anything else they were making. The pace was quicker and there were more gags than say the "Maw and Paw" shorts. Here's "Sh-h-h-h" along with a model sheet of poor Mr. Twiddle.
